RMG workers block Dhaka-Tangail highway for arrears

Apparel workers Sunday morning put barricade on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway near Zirani Bazar in the capital's suburb Ashulia for half an hour demanding arrears.

Savar Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Monwar Hossain told The Daily Star that several hundreds of workers of Liberty Fashion took to the highway and put barricade at about 8:30am.

The workers withdrew the blockade at about 9:00am after being resisted by police.
