Four-year-old Eva failed to save herself from the clutches of the toxic paracetamol suspension of Rid Pharmaceutical Ltd today, struggling three days for life at Dhaka Shishu Hospital.
The Temset paracetamol syrup of the Rid Pharma so far claimed the life of 27 children across the country and most of the patients are from Comilla.
On August 24, Eva was admitted to the hospital with paracetamol syrup-induced renal failure, after she was treated with Rid Pharmaceutical's paracetamol suspension Temset eight days ago.
She hailed from Asadnagar village of Brahmanpara upazila in Comilla.
Sources said the medicines of the company are still being sold by quacks even after over one month of the government order for its withdrawal from market.
Soon after the death of more than 20 children with acute renal failure from June this year, the government ordered to withdraw Rid Pharma's products from the market on July 22.
