Swine flu cases are likely to increase in the upcoming months of November and December, epidemiologists of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) said today.
"The number of swine flu patients has risen to 646 since the first case was detected in the country on June 18," IEDCR Director Prof Mahmudur Rahman said at a press briefing at its office this afternoon.
The swine flu has so far spread to 21 districts across the country, whereas 3 died till date, he added saying that it is showing a downward trend at present.
Earlier on September 27, the IEDCR confirmed that the number of swine flu patients stood at 604.
The cases were detected under the government's surveillance programme.
