The number of swine flu patients in the country has risen to 680 since the first case was detected on June 18.
Mustaque Hossain, senior scientific officer of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), disclosed the figure at a press briefing at its office today.
He said swine flu has spread to 21 districts and claimed 3 lives so far.
The epidemiologist, however, said it is currently showing a downward trend.
Earlier on October 4, the IEDCR confirmed that the number of swine flu patients stood at 646.
The cases were detected under the government's surveillance programme.
