The Climate Change Fund Trustee Board on Tuesday approved four projects involving Tk 87.95 crore to cope with the changing climate.
The trustee board approved these projects at a meeting at Environment and Forests Ministry.
The trustee board decided to implement a project to reclaim 600 square kilometres land through constructing the Urirchar-Noakhalli cross dam at the cost of Tk 37.40 crore.
The others projects includes establishing a botanical garden in Chittagong city at about Tk 22.80 crore, digital mapping for forest at Tk 25 crore and repairing Kumira ferry terminal at Tk 2.75 crore.
Environment and Forests Ministry in cooperation with the other ministries concerned will implement the projects.
A total of 12 projects were placed before the trustee board on Tuesday. The board has okayed four projects while the decision on the rest of the projects will be taken at the next meeting.
