BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia reached Jeddah Monday evening to perform Umrah on Saudi King's invitation.
She arrived at King Abdul Aziz International Airport at 7:30pm local time (10:30pm BST).
Khaleda, also the leader of the opposition in parliament, took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a regular flight of Saudi Airlines around 4:15pm.
Khaleda's press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan on Monday said the BNP chairperson would offer prayers at the grave of prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) in Madina and then go to Makkah to perform Umrah.
She is expected to reside at the Makkah Royal Palace as the guest of Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
Khaleda will return to the country on September 9.
