THIS season, Aarong's colour palette is vibrant with radiant reds, iridescent oranges, canary yellow, mustards, emerald and parrot green, mystic blue to pristine whites, all inspired from our much celebrated Pohela Boishakh. The flavour of Boishakh has been added to the ongoing thematic collections, such as Full Bloom, Flower Power to Tribal Craze. For Boishakh, Aarong has introduced “check it out”, a new exciting collection of saris inspired by the Scottish and Tartan checks. Different fabrics have been used from Tangail cotton to sheer Muslin, Rajshahi silk to Jamdani, translated into exciting line of Boishakhi saris, each unique with interesting floral block and screen prints embellished with hand embroidery, appliqué, kantha stitch, glass work and sequins.

The shalwar kameez line is strong and bold with solid shades in Boishakh hues. The newest line of ornaments in colourful threads, metal and wooden beads with chunky wooden pendants are perfect accessories to give the complete Boishakh look.

Dressydale's Boishakh Festival
RED and white has been the symbol of Boishakh. White symbolises the purity of life and red denotes the power to overcome all odds. Dressydale brings out the two shades in unseen variations, celebrating Boishakh 1416.
"Boishakh Festival 1416" will be inaugurated on 1 April through 14 April 2009. The designs will feature transparent and opaque prints done in collage, extensive use of hand and machine embroidery and timeless designs in kantha stitch. Fusion through simplistic patterns has been the key on finished cotton and silk. The Boishakhi collection is available at all Dressydale outlets.

Aranya celebrates Boishakh
ARANYA'S marvellous collection of natural dyes have been used to highlight the colours of this season, welcoming Boishakh in a festive blaze of reds and yellows that both complement and contrast with the more soothing reds and whites on display.
