777 Saturday Brunch and Siam Spa @ Dhaka Regency
The
concept of “brunch” (lunch and breakfast wrapped into a single meal) is
a relatively new one in Dhaka's rapidly growing culinary scene. Dhaka
Regency has embarked on a promotional feat, which works to reinforce
this very concept. From June 20, it has launched its “777 Saturday
Brunch Special”- a buffet with an assortment of breakfast and lunch
items.
There are dishes from many nooks and crannies of the
globe- from beef fajitas and chicken butter masalas to biriyani and
sausages, the guests have a wide variety of delicacies to choose from.
For breakfast, there is a decent selection of bread and cereals. For
lunch, you can start with a host of appetizers, cold cuts and soups
(both hot and cold). The assorted cheese platter further offers a point
of interest.
There are also various food stations like the pasta station and the
omelet station, where food items can be customised to suit personal
preferences. Of course, you can then move onto desserts like cheesecake

Regency, the city's latest 5-star business boutique hotel, has been in
soft operation for the last two years and is gradually completing all
its projects towards its grand opening, scheduled sometime during the
end of this year. Part of this effort is to set up the largest spa in
the city, built on over 5000 sq. ft. of space, the Dhaka Regency Siam
Spa.
Inspired by the serene sophistication and attention to
detail demonstrated by the contemporary spas in Thailand, the Siam Spa
at Dhaka Regency offers both spa and salon services surrounded by a
luxurious environment. The spa promises all the amenities of true Thai
traditions such as 100% essential oil created aroma therapy,
hydrotherapy, herbal sauna, hot compress mineral baths, etc.
The spa, which was launched with a grand opening on June 13th, 2009, is situated on Level 13.
Nando's really really good chicken
Nando's launched its new campaign, “Really Really Good Chicken”, at Dhanmondi on June 17, 2009.
The event
After a long, hot and humid day of work, the guests arrived at Nando's
in the evening. Nando's treated them with one of their uniquely and
specially made lemonade. One sip immediately removed all the exhaustion
of the day and marked the beginning of a very cosy and spicy time.
Afterwards, the signature dishes of Nando's were presented, and with
all the guests gathered around the food, the campaign was launched, and
welcomed by a big applause. Dinner was served then. 
Hot New Deals!
Nando's is offering a loyalty card, which would enable the members to
enjoy forty meals with special discounts and service. A raffle draw
will also be arranged where the winner will get to enjoy one Nando's
meal every week for a year totally free!
On the other hand, Nando's will be offering a few strictly selected
corporate houses a deal though which they can have a chicken on the
house if they purchase a drink and a sideline. They will also hop in
the street and give away this special card- the Earplugs & Back in
5 mins card- to a very few lucky, randomly selected commuters.
A little history
Nando's boosts its use of the Peri-Peri- the rare, ancient and very
spicy chilli that grows in Africa. Nando's passion for this unique
flavour is reflected by the unique collection of sauces and, of course,
the meals they offer - especially the Peri- Peri Chicken: a throwback
to the ancient African-Portuguese culture and cuisine.
A young energetic boy of the Mozambique community went exploring one
day when the native African people introduced him to this special breed
of chilli that they called 'The African Bird's Eye Chili'. They named
it 'Pili-Pili'. The Portuguese boy, however, couldn't pronounce the
name, and called it Peri-Peri. The boy talked it over with his people,
and tried it out, and soon they realised the value of the discovery.
